Why doesn't my home screen appear when I lift the phone?

Hi,
You need to active Raise to Wake feature by the following:
go to settings then display & brightness then active the raise to wake feature .
Hopefully this will help.
Tap Settings > Display & Brightness then toggle Raise to Wake ON.
The devices that have an embedded M9 chip required for Raise to Wake are:
Raise to wake option is not listed.
Ouch. Will this be as available when I get my 7? I am new to Iphone and don't know these things?
